Complete Rotating Assemblies
All Rotors are individually balanced and matched in weight.
This is beneficial if one needs replacing at a later stage.
The
rest of the rotating assembly is then balanced as one assembly
using our bob weights that are custom made for each model
rotor. They are also balanced and weight is added or removed
centrifically around the weight for oil seal, springs,
o-rings and bearing correction figures. Bob weights also
have centre offset screws for locating the exact centre
line for different model engines.
The rotating assembly is balanced to within
0.05 grams. (Standard manufacturer tolerance is only 10-50
grams). All machine work on rotors and eccentric shaft
must be completed prior to balancing. The only exception
being if the eccentric shaft is having the X-treme
Finishing process done which we suggest doing after balancing.
Before sending for balancing, if possible check
eccentric shaft run out and be sure there is no damage
on threads or key way slots. All components should slide
easily on the shaft. The
order sheet must contain information of which bearings
and seals you are using in order to add the appropriate
correction figure.
