To start with a 70mm threaded hole is CNC machined into
the housing leaving a 48mm hole in the internal rotor housing
face.
A solid billet Peripheral Port sleeve is screwed
and bonded into the housing for maximum sealing reliability
and strength. The sleeve is tapered from 50mm to 48mm to
maximise air speed.
The housing is then pressure tested,
sealed and placed back on the CNC where final machining
is carried out to ensure exact heights and dimensions to
suit our manifolds.
It is recommended that
a new rotor housing is used for Peripheral Porting. Used
housings will be measured and inspected before machining
to ensure they are satisfactory to our strict standards.
All
housings will need hand finishing to suit individual porting
preferences. There is enough material in the sleeve for
approximately 10 Degrees of opening and closing duration
available for individual porting requirements.

Port section
