Race Stud Kit
This is the strongest way to stud your engine. You must
be able to use a 13B Cosmo front plate with the 7 bosses
on the outside. This allows us to machine completely
through the plate enabling the fitment of nuts at either
end of the custom stud. As these bosses are mainly concentrated
on the power side of the engine there is now reduced
stress and load on the front plate due to the studs keeping
the engine under compression not tension, greatly reducing
the risk of cracking.
This modification can also be applied
to 20B engines using a 13B Cosmo front plate.
