The power capabilities of the current generation off high HP turbocharged engines will at minium require a stud kit.
The ˝” high tensile studs are a vast improvement over the standard 10mm bolts, which will not stretch under high boost,
loosing the clamp force between the plates and housings, allowing all the torsional load to go through the standard dowel pins.
All the 16 holes on each plate and rotor housing are CNC machined and reamed to achieve the correct
tolerances required for the studs. All machining is repeatable so if any plate or rotor housing is
damaged we can machine one to directly fit back into your engine.
The race stud kit is available if you use a FD, 13B Cosmo or 20B front plate, these are the best
choice for high HP, we are able to machine completely through 7 off the stud positions on the front
plate, which allows us to have nuts on both ends of the studs in these positions, this reduces the
stresses on the front plate.
These stud kits are currently used in the world’s fastest rotaries with multiple records.
