Screw-in Billet Welsh Plugs
Conversion to o-ringed billet alloy welsh plugs.
These
are useful in high HP turbo engines prone to cracking
end plates.
The plugs are also a safety benefit as they have less chance
of being forced out in the event of a cracked end plate
and the coolant being lost onto the race track - or worse
- under the tyres.
There is also reduced stress on the end
plates as the standard welsh plugs are pressed or hammered
in. The threaded plug only has to be tightened to 12ft/lbs
and the sealing is done with the o-ring.
Front and rear
plates are CNC machined to accept screw-in alloy welsh
plugs. Replacing the steel factory item.
